All articles must have a South Belt area connection.
The South Belt-Ellington Leader publishes engagements, weddings and obituaries free of charge.

When submitting by e-mail please send information as text in the e-mail itself. Do not use all caps we can not use text that is typed in all caps.

The Leader wants you in the news. The South Belt-Ellington Leader wants to share your news. Whether it's a birthday, anniversary, vacation story, or just an interesting tidbit, it is always fun to share with the community.

Articles
Deadline for all articles except for weekend sports is Friday at noon. Weekend sports are to be submitted by 9 a.m. on Monday. Sports articles for youth sports must be submitted within a week of the event. Articles can be submitted as an e-mail text file attachment.

Leader wedding policy
The Leader does not run write-ups of weddings that occurred three months prior to publication date. Within six weeks of the wedding date, a photo and article will be printed free of charge. Between six weeks and three months, only a photo with a cutline beneath it will be printed.

Leader obituary policy
Obituaries submitted to the Leader are published free of charge. They are edited to conform to the Leader style and must have a South Belt connection.

Letters to the editor
All letters must have signature and daytime phone number for confirmation of identity of writer. Letter content must be acceptable for family publication. Content must not put paper or writer at risk for legal action.
